Visiting the Frick Collection is the equivalent of sitting down with a friend over a pot of Earl Grey tea. It is a calming, civilized, and elegant experience and you depart with a renewed sense of faith in the beauty in the world.

Some of the best people I know are waiting for college admissions decisions right now. They’ve aced all their AP courses, and taken the SAT, the ACT, and the subject tests numerous times. They’ve scoured their souls for material worthy of a personal essay. In short, they’ve worked really hard to get to this point.
It seems our children – from age 2 to 22 – need some guidance on giving. I consistently hear parents remark that they have really great kids, but they’re not very helpful.

Walkers and bike riders around Rye can’t help but notice them – roundish, spiky, woody things scattered on the lawns, streets, and sidewalks.
February is the shortest month, but it can be the cruelest. Oh how I would like to take advantage of Leap Year and quickly land at the end of March.
