Over the years, we’ve enjoyed many a corned beef dinner with wine or Irish beer. We may have even had some Irish coffee. But a special way to complete the meal on this party-atmosphere day is with a glass of Irish Cream.

For the second year in a row, School of the Holy Child’s JV basketball team was undefeated.

Rye’s Shannon O’Connor, a junior at School of the Holy Child, has been named one of 84 high school basketball players to participate in the annual East-West New England Prep School Athletic Conference (NEPSAC) All-Star Game. She is Holy Child’s first varsity basketball player to receive this honor.

Wildcats Fulfill Hoop Dreams in NY State Invitational Win:  The Rye Country Day boys’ basketball team put an exclamation point on the end of a phenomenal season last Sunday, earning their second NYSAIS Class C title in three years, with a 59-51 win over the Packer Collegiate Pelicans at Fieldston. 

Despite a stellar regular season, the second-seeded School of the Holy Child Gryphons fell to the Mighty Lions of Convent of the Sacred Heart in the Fairchester Athletic Association championship February 25.

The 4th-seeded Rye High Boys’ Hockey team played the 8th-seeded Scarsdale Raiders like world-beaters in the first two periods of their Section One Semi-finals on February 24.

For two periods of the Fair-chester Athletic Association Tournament, the top-seeded RCDS hockey team couldn’t find the back of the net. Even though playing at home, with their fans urging them on, the Wildcats remained scoreless through the first ten minutes of the third period.

“And just think,” said the Harvard Club Events Manager, “the wedding party will have the special pleasure of using glassware and plates all bearing the Harvard logo!”
