Interior designer Michele Green and her business partner Barbara Sperling, co-owners of The Open House in Rye, shared a wealth of home design knowledge at a talk at the Rye library April 17.

A dozen area schools participated in the first Sound Shore No Idling Day, April 23. At Midland, fifth-grade teacher Mary Partington came up with the idea of pasting no-idling posters on yellow banners “to look like the sun.” She said the day coincided well with the climate change curriculum.
