The strong team spirit of the entire Rye YMCA gymnastics team contributed to several outstanding performances at the Northeast Regional Gymnastics Championships in Glens Falls, May 4-6. Over 20 Rye Y gymnasts competed.
A trio of Rye tennis players advanced during League Championships at Harrison High School. Two of the players, Harry Bonay and Grant DeBease, placed third in the League in doubles playoffs, qualifying for Sectional competition at SUNY Purchase last week.

The Block Room at Christ's Church Nursery School takes center stage in the new Kinder Blocks of Learning afternoon enrichment program. The program is scheduled to open this fall for Rye kindergartners.
Rye Country Day School is offering a Summer Session for students who are entering grades 5-12 this fall. During the six-week program, gain academic enrichment, strengthen skills for the coming school year, or make up course credit from the 2011-12 school year. The program runs June 25 to August 3 from 8 a.m. to noon.
School of the Holy Child is hosting two mathematics summer camps on its Rye campus this summer. Both meet August 13- 17 from 9 a.m.–11: 30 a.m. The cost is $275.
Take slime, sleeping mold, a Barbie doll dunked in corn starch quicksand, bubble gum viscosity, and over 100 student scientists and you get a glimpse of this year’s Osborn Science Night, held May 17.
RHS Crew entered 40 rowers in 11 boats at the State Championships May 12-13 on Saratoga Lake. Through sheer grit and determination, five of our boats made it to the next round, the semis, and/or finals in their events.
