Cadet Leo Matthews completed his first year at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point with academic distinction. He was named to the Dean’s List for the fall and spring semesters.
“Margaret,” the sophomore effort from writer-director Kenneth Lonergan, is a film about New York, a city with eight million stories. So it is only fitting that “Margaret” arrived on DVD last week with a story of its own.

As Rye Neck High School Principal Barbara Ferraro walks around campus, she can’t help but feel exhilarated. Each summer, scouts from Rye Troop 2 attend sleep-away camp at Curtis S. Read Scout Reservation in Brant Lake, not far from Lake George. It provides the perfect setting for scouts to enjoy the great outdoors, perfect their skills, and earn merit badges needed for rank advancements.
In early June, nine members of Rye Cadette Girl Scout Troop 2282 and seven members of Resurrection Girl Scout Troop 1909 traveled to Washington, D.C. for “Rock the Mall,” Girl Scouting’s 100th Anniversary Sing-a-Long on the National Mall.
