Jonah Shainberg, 16, a junior at Rye High School, won a silver medal at the European World Cup fencing competition in Godollo, Hungary, October 6. Shainberg finished 2nd out of 178 of the top Cadet (under age 17) male saber fencers in the U.S., Russia, Germany, and many other European countries.

Rye Country Day’s post-season hopes are very much alive after the Wildcats won their sixth boys’ soccer game at home Monday against Fieldston, by a score of 1-0.
Garnets Share League Lead in Volleyball with Blind Brook

Rye’s volleyball team remains in first place in the League, but begrudgingly shares that distinction with Blind Brook. The Garnets are 10-2 in the League and 10-3 overall after beating Mamaroneck and Pleasantville but losing to Keio and Blind Brook this month.
