Wildcat Basketball Team has New Coach, Winning Attitude
Rye Country Day’s boys basketball team won the NYSAISS Championship last year against Packer and lost the Fairchester Athletic Association championship by just one point. Since then, the entire starting team graduated and they have a new coach. Coach Torsie Judkins hails from North Carolina where he was the head coach at Durham Academy for ten years. Assistant coach Brandon Brailsford will be helping the Wildcats as well.
RHS Hockey Team Winning Without Home Rink
Since last season, when Rye High’s hockey team lost to Scarsdale in the sectional semifinal and lost 6 seniors to graduation, they suffered their most devastating loss of all — that of their home rink to Hurricane Sandy.
