It happens every May. While most students are counting the number of school days left, I’m checking my calendar to make sure it’s cleared for the Rye Youth Council Awards Breakfast.
Spring Celebration of Community Service:
On a sunny day in May, Wainwright House hosted their 3rd annual “Spring Awakening” luncheon beneath a great white tent on the lawn overlooking the Sound.
The City Council voted May 21 to approve a new Letter of Agreement with the Rye Police Association (RPA) for the contract period January 1, 2011 through December 31, 2015, calling for raises of 2.25 percent for each year. The agreement replaces one that expired December 31, 2008.
More than 500 people took part in the annual St. Vincent’s Hospital Westchester Spring Sprint on May 10.
