Skip the beach and head to the Rye Sidewalk Sale bright and early Thursday, July 24.

On May 30 a federal court denied attorney Arthur Schwartz’s request that the Rye City School District return his clients, suspended teachers Carin Mehler and Dana Coppola, to their classrooms.

The June 11 City Council meeting included a discussion of how the Council might be able to help Rye Smoke Shop avoid losing its location at Purchase Street and Elm Place.

New York State recently established a program to provide additional rebuilding and revitalization assistance to communities severely damaged by Hurricanes Sandy and Irene and Tropical Storm Lee.

teacher-thumbThe Rye City School District has selected and honored Carrie Burke and Sharon Straussberg as the 2014 Teachers of the Year. This annual award was presented during Superintendent’s Conference Day events in late June.  

The Harrison Public Library Presents the Hadassah Film Festival on August 6, 13, and 20 at 6:45. Bring a bag supper. Refreshments will be served courtesy of the Friends of the Library.
