It was standing-room-only at City Hall December 10 for the 50th Anniversary Re-Dedication Ceremony of the building generously given to the City by John Motley Morehead, who served as Rye’s Mayor from 1926-1930.

After public discussion and a thorough review process over three meetings, the City Council, at their December 3 meeting, voted 5-1 to join the Energize New York’s Energy Improvement Corporation (EIC).

At its final meeting of the year, the City Council unanimously approved a budget of $35,661,014 for 2015, which necessitates a 3.14% tax rate increase.
