Joan Chessman Shipman passed peacefully in her home with her son, Jerry, 49, and dogs by her side on April 8, shortly before the totality of the eclipse. 

Vincent J. Ballantoni Jr., a resident of Rye, N.Y. for more than 48 years, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family.  

Paul Robert Kalkut, a longtime Rye resident, died on May 7, 2024, from complications of Parkinson’s disease. He was 81.
