In spring, a gardener’s fancy turns to the New York Botanical Garden, where carpets and clouds of flowers and bushes bring colorful delight.
The 16th annual Orchid Show, which opened last week and runs through April 22, showcases thousands of these flowering and often fragrant plants. One of the world’s leading floral designers, Daniel Ost, has created dramatic installations in the Enid A. Haupt Conservatory.
For a romantic evening, from 6:30-9:30 stroll through the Orchid Show with a cocktail and partner in hand while listening to music and watching performers. The dates are March 17, 24 and 31, and April 6, 7, 13, 14, 20, and 21.
