Thanks to an enthusiastic and intellectually curious group of interns, the Rye Historical Society has mounted a compelling new exhibit at the Square House.
Rye High School seniors Quinn Roche, Marcus Hendler, Kenan Oktay, Andrew Harris, and James Weld spent three weeks compiling information and artifacts for “Rye in the Year of Covid-19”. The exhibit spans the tumultuous times since the March 2020 shutdown.
Topics such as “New Ways of Life During Covid” and “Mental Health During Covid” are presented primarily through photographs and newspaper articles. After viewing the exhibit, visitors are encouraged to leave their thoughts on a comment board.
The Square House is open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10-4 and Saturdays from 12-3. Stop by to experience a year like no other through the eyes of five talented teens.
