Hot dogs roasting on an open fire, raptors’ talons in plain sight…. Families bundled up and flocked to the 43rd Old-Fashioned Winter’s Afternoon at Rye Nature Center March 5. In between log-sawing contests and maple-sugaring demonstrations, they spent time at the petting zoo, improved their archery skills, learned a new craft, and caught up over hot chocolate.
