Annabelle Schultze has been accepted into the School of American Ballet’s summer course. The 12-year-old auditioned along with 2,000 aspiring students around the country for one of the 200 available spaces.
For the last four years, Schultze has studied at The Ballet Class under Celeste Morningstar, director, Ashlee Knapp, who danced with the New York City Ballet, and Ian Thatcher, who danced with the San Francisco and Pacific Northwest ballets.
This summer, Schultze, a student at Resurrection School, will attend five weeks of technique classes, pointe classes, character, and Pilates — all geared toward the making of a professional classical ballet dancer.
