On Friday, April 13, Nicholas Gordon received the news he’d been patiently waiting for: his appointment to the United States Naval Academy.
The 2016 Rye High School graduate was nominated to the Academy by Senator Chuck Schumer and Congressman Eliot Engel, but after his application was denied he attended Greystone Preparatory School in Kerrville, Texas, a one-year service academy-focused program. In 2017, still seeking that appointment, Nick earned a position in the USNA’s Civilian Preparatory Program and attended Manhattanville College for his sophomore year.
This summer, Nick Gordon begins the pursuit of his life-long dream to attend the USNA and serve his country.
