A Vote for Meg Is a Vote for Principled Leadership
We’re Moms for Meg, moms in Assembly District 91 who want a change in Albany. We’re activists, Democratic party leaders, elected officials, lawyers, yoga teachers, nonprofit leaders, stay-at-home parents, and business executives. We’ve joined together to enthusiastically endorse Meg Cameron, Democrat for NYS Assembly.
These uncertain times require a new set of skills and life experiences from our leaders. This is not business — or politics — as usual.
As our communities begin to reopen, we need creative, data-driven, fiscally-savvy, strategic thinkers. We need someone who will do the hard work of deeply, compassionately engaging with the district to solve problems at their root. We need someone who will help fraught families, as well as struggling local businesses. We believe Meg’s background — a small-business owner with a master’s degree in immunology — is uniquely relevant for the demands of our time.
Meg is running because she cares deeply about our community and has demonstrated so through a lifetime of volunteering on behalf of seniors, women, children, and immigrants. Meg has served as Chair of the Rye Democratic Committee for the last six years and has breathed new life and energy into the party. She has done this not by beating a tribal drum of party politics, but through active engagement, indefatigable enthusiasm, thoughtful compromise, and tremendous work ethic.
Meg is smart, strong, collaborative, and deeply principled. She cares about the issues we care about — Covid-19 recovery, women’s rights, public school funding, climate change, clean energy and gun safety. On a personal level, Meg is a loyal friend, a wise mentor, a doting grandmother, and a fellow mom.
Please join us in voting for Meg on June 23.
