Albert Richard Arrigale died December 6, 2020 at the age of 92. He was a resident of Rye, N.Y. for 59 years, and Cresskill, N.J. for the last three years.
Born in the Bronx, N.Y. on April 5, 1928, he was the son of Albert and Catherine Arrigale. After graduating from DeWitt Clinton High School, he received a Bachelor of Science degree from Florida Southern College. He was honorably discharged from the US Navy in 1946.
After a 36-year career, Mr. Arrigale retired from Equifax Services Inc.
He was a member of American Legion Post 128, and volunteered at
St. Vincent’s Hospital in Harrison, N.Y. For many years he was an usher at Resurrection Church and held the position of head usher. He was also a poll worker for the City of Rye.
An active man, ice skating and swimming were among his favorite pastimes. Jones Beach was among his favorite nearby destinations.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Adele (nee Flexer) Arrigale; his daughter Susan and her husband Hank Marchionni, his son Steven and his wife Rosemarie, his son Robert and his wife Alycia, and his granddaughter Samantha. His sister, Constance Schaibley, predeceased him.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Church of the Resurrection December 12 at 10 a.m.
