At a time when the importance of a free and independent press has become ever more evident, the Rye Youth Council has chosen to highlight two outstanding female journalists at its fourth annual Spring Benefit Luncheon on Friday, April 27 from 12-2:30 at Shenorock Shore Club.
Andrea Canning, Dateline NBC correspondent, will deliver the keynote speech, “From the Trenches: Journalism and Motherhood”.
Robin Jovanovich, publisher and executive editor of The Rye Record, is this year’s Honorary Event Chair, and will be recognized for her many years of service to the community.
Organizers are hoping for a large turnout to support the two women, as well as the important work of the Rye Youth Council on behalf of the children and families in Rye.
