It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Andrew Michael Tokarz, who left this world too soon on Feb. 1 due to cardiac arrest.
He was born on May 29, 1984, in Miami, Forida to Nancy Conners Tokarz and Michael Theodore Tokarz. On July 16, 2016, he married his best friend and soulmate, Kelly Ann Mayerhofer Tokarz. Andrew was a beloved husband, son, brother, colleague, and friend whose intelligence, generosity, and passion for life touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
With an executive MBA from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, and a degree in psychology and human services from Lynn University, he built a distinguished career in business and technology. He led with vision and innovation, shaping industries while always keeping people at the center of his work. His leadership extended across various roles in business development, finance, and entrepreneurship, where he was known for his strategic mind, integrity, and ability to bring people together.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Andrew embraced life with an unstoppable energy and an adventurous spirit. He was an accomplished skier, certified scuba diver, and enjoyed spending time on the water, boating and fishing. He was equally at home on land, whether racing cars, riding motorcycles, hunting, or passionately following sports. His love for adventure was not just about the thrill – it was about the experiences, the camaraderie, and the sheer appreciation of the world around him.
He is survived by his wife Kelly Tokarz, his parents Michael and Nancy Tokarz, and his brother Justin Taylor Tokarz.
The funeral mass for Andrew was scheduled for Feb. 13 at the Church of the Resurrection in Rye.
