Anne Ginchereau Donnelly, a 55-year resident of Rye, passed away at home on June 3, 2018. She was 78.
Born in Lewiston, Maine, on December 3, 1939 she was the daughter of Ross and Carmen Ginchereau.
After attending Manhattanville College, where she earned a degree in Education in 1961, she taught lower, middle, and high school Spanish and French in Rye, Port Chester, Larchmont, and Bronxville schools.
Anne Donnelly enjoyed gardening, reading, movies, travelling, and spending quality time with family and friends. She was a loving and loyal spouse, mother, grandmother, and friend, “a true one-of-a-kind.”
She was the beloved wife of Joseph L. Donnelly, to whom she was introduced in Rye. He predeceased her, as did her granddaughter, Lily Donnelly. Mrs. Donnelly is survived by her children, John (Anne), Mark (Susan), David (Carol), and Claire Donnelly-Bowron (Dennis); her cherished grandchildren, Jack, Aidan, Ryan, Ethan, Sam, Sarah, and Will Donnelly; and her sister, Louise Brostin.
A Memorial mass was held June 9 at the Church of the Resurrection.
