One good thing about a winter full of cyclone bombes, blizzards, and single-digit temperatures is that they all help build healthy appetites and an urge to wander.
As if on cue, Hudson Valley Restaurant Week begins March 12. Even better, the “week” stretches to March 25.
Participating restaurants offer prix fixe, three-course dinners for $32.95 and lunches for $22.95 – some exclusions may apply. In keeping with the regional theme, many restaurants will feature New York products on their menus or incorporated into their dishes.
More good news: “Hudson Valley” once again includes the Sound Shore communities. In nearby Mamaroneck, Le Provençal offers diners a wide selection of appetizers and entrees during restaurant week. In Rye, Frankie & Johnnie’s and La Panetière are participating. At La Panetière, Monday and Saturday lunch and Saturday dinner are excluded.
If seafood is what you crave, head over to Port Chester’s Saltaire Oyster Bar & Fish House by the harbor.
