New Blue of Yale A Capella
The New Blue was established in 1969, making it Yale’s first all-women’s a cappella group and the oldest all-women’s undergraduate organization on Yale’s campus. They are a soprano-alto a cappella group with an entirely self-arranged and dynamic repertoire, singing everything from current pop songs and folk music to jazz and blues. Featuring soloists, a gorgeous blend, and more than 50 years of rich musical history, The New Blue continues to proudly stand (and sing) as a symbol of change. In the new year, The New Blue is embarking on their winter tour in the Westchester area and will perform at the Rye Free Reading Room on Jan. 8 at 7 p.m.
