Repurposing for Art’s Sake Workshop

In this workshop on Saturday, Sept. 14 from 1-4 p.m., Natalya Khorover will demonstrate the artistry of urban graffiti and wordplay with a collection of single-use plastic. Using soft plastic packaging like shopping bags, cleaned potato chip bags, rinsed frozen food packaging, mailer bags, and any other colorful soft and pliable fabric-like plastic, participants will create works of art. By paying attention to items already in the home or acquired through everyday activities, artists can repurpose materials into original collage. Registrants are encouraged to bring materials from home with the goal of reusing as much as possible.

This program is a collaboration between the Mamaroneck Artists Guild and the Rye Arts Center. Register at mamaroneckartistsguild.org.

Cost: $50 for MAG and RAC members, $60 for non-members
