Trolley Tour

On July 20, the Rye Historical Society is hosting a rollicking ride through Rye’s past aboard refurbished, vintage, air-conditioned trolleys. The tour begins at 10:30 a.m. at Nursery Field. Parking is available. Boarding begins 15 minutes before departure. The tour theme is “From the Gilded Age to the Roaring ’20s” and the path takes riders through the summer estates along Milton Point and explores the sites and stories of Oakland Beach and Playland. When the tour ends at 12:30 p.m., guests are invited to enjoy a picnic lunch from Milton Point Provisions. This tour is appropriate for ages 10+. Space is limited to 65 attendees. Free Summer Concerts

Rye Town Park’s free summer concerts are back every Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. under the pavilions, rain or shine. The lineup kicks off with Summer Project on July 8 followed by Scott Wenzel on July 15. Lawn chairs, blankets, snacks, and dancing shoes encouraged.

Farmers’ Market

The Rye Farmers’ Market is open every Sunday from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The market, located in the parking lot off Theodore Fremd behind the Purchase Street stores, features local produce, meats, and other environmentally conscious products.

Sidewalk Sale

Rye’s annual Sidewalk Sale will be held on July 17, 18, and 19. This community favorite, organized by the Rye Chamber of Commerce, offers shoppers a chance to get great deals from local merchants while enjoying the vibrant, festive atmosphere of summer on Purchase Street.

Wellness

Runwright Running Club

Wainwright has a running club open to all levels of runners. Led by performance coach Brian McCarthy of Victory Athletic, the club meets every Monday at 6:30 for a friendly, no-pressure group run along Rye’s waterfront. It is a great way to build consistency, connect with other runners, and enjoy the movement and motivation that comes from group runs.

Menopause Nutrition

Becky Blake, RD, is back for “Nourishing Your Next Chapter: Nutrition for Perimenopause and Menopause Part 2.” The talk is on July 15, 7-9 p.m. at Wainwright. This empowering talk focuses on nourishment during peri/menopause by discussing key nutrients, mindful eating, and practical advice to manage symptoms, boost energy, and feel good during this transformative life stage. Becky will cover whole-foods based nutrition, protein needs, and the confusing world of vitamins and supplements. She brings over two decades of experience to her approach with a goal of improving overall well-being.
