Incumbent Jamaal Bowman handily won New York’s 16th Congressional District’s Democratic Primary on August 24. In unofficial results, out of the 29,791 votes tallied, Bowman received 17,023 (54%), County Legislator Vedat Gashi 6,892 votes (25%), and County Legislator Catherine Parker 5,349 (19%).
Bowman will face Republican John Ciampoli in November’s election.
