The incidents were reported shortly after 10 p.m. to Rye police when the suspect is believed to have accessed the Vienna Senior Housing apartments, located at 250 Theodore Fremd Ave., through unlocked windows in the rear of the complex.
Rye police also recovered a four-feet ladder at the scene, which the burglary is alleged to have used to access the second-story windows.
The crimes are believed to have been committed between 8 and 10 p.m., as the suspect was captured on a security camera in one of the ransacked apartments shortly after 9 p.m., according to police.
The thief remains on the loose. He was last seen wearing gloves and a face mask to conceal his identity.
