Celebrating a Historic Moment for Women

This year’s Rye Historical Society luncheon was held in recognition of the 100^th anniversary of women’s suffrage in New York. Guest speaker Professor Emerita Barbara Winslow of Brooklyn College, CUNY presented a detailed history of the state suffrage movement and highlighted some of the courageous women who made this a reality three years before the United States passed the 19^th Amendment.

More than a few good women were among the guests at the luncheon, held March 2 at American Yacht Club.
