Common Core: From Inspiration to Implementation

Join the League of Women Voters of Rye, Rye Brook and Port Chester for an important forum Thursday, May 7 at 7:30 at the Rye High School library.  A distinguished panel — Dr. Peter Salins, senior fellow at the Manhattan Institute for Policy Research, Rye City School Superintendent Dr. Frank Alvarez, and Port Chester School Superintendent Dr. Edward Kliszus — will discuss whether Common Core is due for a major course correction or just tweaking around the edges.
