Westchester County officials announced Wednesday multiple service changes for Bee-Line buses beginning in September.
“These service adjustments are about ensuring buses run on time and riders can plan their days with confidence,” said Westchester County Executive Ken Jenkins. “Public transportation is essential for working families, students and seniors, and we are committed to keeping the Bee-Line system strong and responsive.”
Along Route 14 – the local route between White Plains, Ossining, and Peekskill – the 8:35 a.m. weekday southbound trip at the Cortland Town Center will leave five minutes later at 8:40 a.m. Route 17’s weekday 7:40 a.m. southbound trip at Cortlandt Town Center will also be pushed back five minutes, to 7:45 a.m. Route 17 is the express trip from White Plains up to Ossining and Peekskill.
Officials will also change bus times on Route 30 – the local line that takes riders between Yonkers, Bronxville, and New Rochelle. The eastbound weekday 2:50 p.m. trip at Riverdale Avenue and Main Street in Yonkers will leave five minutes earlier, at 2:45 p.m. Additionally, the weekday eastbound 3:05 p.m. bus at the Bronxville train station will leave three minutes later at 3:08 p.m.
Other stops on all adjusted routes will be changed accordingly.
County officials said there will also be weekday adjustments to Routes 3, 11, 26, 27, 40, 41, and 52, but didn’t specify which times. Similarly, Routes 70 and 71 will be modified to accommodate school and train schedules, and Routes 75 and 91 with seasonal service to Playland Park will end.
The changes go into effect Sept. 2.
