Dan Borchert has been named the new ad sales director of The Rye Record.
Borchert, who joined The Record on July 8, has managed ad sales and marketing for the Robb Report, Departures, Fortune, Conde Nast, and Calvin Klein. Most recently, he was sales director for GHP Media, a printing and digital communications company.
“We are thrilled to have Dan on board,” said Record Editor-in-Chief and Co-Publisher Jon Elsen. “He’s an outstanding professional, he grew up in a big Rye family, and he knows this community like the back of his hand.”
Borchert grew up on Grandview Avenue — his brother John was a long-time Rye Middle School teacher — attended Resurrection School from kindergarten to eighth grade, graduated from Rye High School, and went to College of the Holy Cross. He was co-captain of the RHS football team and a member of the theater and chorus groups.
“I’m very happy to be joining The Rye Record team, and serving a community I love,” Borchert said. “We see a lot of opportunity to expand our advertising reach, both in print and online.”
He can be reached by email at danborchert@ryerecord.com or ads@ryerecord. com, and by phone at 203-912-5468.
Borchert succeeds Nick Jovanovich, who has been at The Record for six years. Jovanovich is moving on to sell luxury real estate for the South Florida brokerage firm Douglas Elliman.
“We appreciate all that Nick has done for The Record, and we wish him great success in Florida,” Elsen said.
