DEAR READERS
Book lovers united on the Village Green on a glorious September Sunday for the Rye Free Reading Room Book Sale. They browsed and bought some 3,500 used books donated by the community, knowing that all the monies raised went to our beloved and essential library.
Many visitors that day paused at the memorial for Supreme Court Judge Ruth Bader Ginsburg, who often remarked, “Reading is the key that opens doors to many good things in life.”
In case you didn’t know, the Library is open for browsing, work, and study, and Director Chris Shoemaker said he and the staff “are looking forward to seeing everyone!”
Appointments can be made on the Library’s redesigned website, www.ryelibrary.org.
