To coincide with National Nutrition Month, the Rye YMCA will host a special presentation and discussion with blogger and author Jenny Rosenstrach. The free talk will be held on Monday, March 18 from 7– 8 p.m. at the Rye Free Reading Room.
Rosenstrach is the author of “Dinner: A Love Story,” a blog and now a book, devoted to family dinner. Her essays and articles have appeared in numerous national publications and anthologies, including Cookie, Real Simple, Martha Stewart Living, Whole Living, and the op-ed page of The New York Times. She has appeared on NPR’s “Weekend Edition” and NBC’s “Today.” She and her husband, Andy Ward, write “The Providers” column for Bon Appétit.
Rosenstrach will offer practical advice for busy families. No matter what your obstacle may be — no time, no energy, no clue about what to cook — you’ll walk away with tips about how to make the meal happen regularly and nutritiously.
“We’re delighted to have Jenny speak as part of National Nutrition Month,” remarked Rye Y Executive Director Gregg Howells. “Her focus on bringing families together around the dinner table is a perfect fit with the Y’s focus on youth development and healthy living.”
