After a winning season, Rye High School senior Grant Keith was tied for first place going into the Districts. As co-captain of the combined Mamaroneck/Rye High School team, he led more than ten team members to the championship, more than ever before, and he was thrilled that his teammate, freshman Adam Chen, qualified.
Chen finished 38th in the overall Best Giant Slalom and Slalom with consistent runs. While Keith had the best time in the GS for the day, because he hit some ice during the slalom runs, and did not qualify for States, District 1 asked Grant to forerun at the State Championships.
Keith also qualified for the USSA Eastern Finals U19 at Gore Mountain on March 11.
