Dr. Peter Tesler, Associate Medical Director, Ambulatory Care, Joins White Plains Hospital
White Plains, N.Y. (September 30, 2019) – White Plains Hospital welcomes Dr. Peter Tesler, who has joined the Hospital as Associate Medical Director, Ambulatory Care.
An educator, administrator and pediatric physician for nearly thirty years, Dr. Tesler will help lead the Hospital in enhancing the transitional care at its outpatient facilities and post-acute rehab centers, while promoting wellness, chronic disease management and reducing Hospital readmissions. He will also assist in the education of the Hospital’s medical staff and develop procedures to achieve an ongoing, measurable improvement in its ambulatory practices.
Dr. Tesler comes to White Plains Hospital from Westchester Medical Center Health Network, where he served as an Attending Physician and Regional Medical Director for Safety & Quality. He obtained his Medical Degree from the University of Vermont College of Medicine and a Master of Public Health Degree from Boston University School of Public Health. Dr. Tesler completed his internship and residency in Pediatrics at Tufts Medical Center in Boston, MA.
