From Saturday, June 15 to Sunday, June 23 Rye residents can cast their ballots in the 16th Congressional District and Westchester County district attorney Democratic primaries at the city’s early voting center based at the Resurrection Early Childhood Center.
Only registered Democrats may vote in person, by mail or early in the hotly contested contest between U.S. Rep. Jamaal Bowman and Westchester County Executive George Latimer and the three-way race for the top law enforcement official in the county. The DA race pits civil rights attorney William Wagstaff against retired judge Susan Cacace and former prosecutor Adeel Mirza. Incumbent DA Miriam Roche is not seeking reelection.

Interest in the congressional race is reflected in mail-in ballot activity, according to Frank S. Corvino, Democratic deputy commissioner of the county Board of Elections. Nearly 10,000 mail-in ballots had been requested by June 10, a 57% increase from the 2022 primary, and the 3,300 completed ballots the board has received already exceeds the 2022 total by 188.
Mailed-in applications for mail-in ballots must be received by the Board of Elections by June 15. In-person requests for mail-in ballots may be made at the board’s White Plains office until June 24.
