The Rye YMCA’s Togetherhood Committee is collecting new and gently used fall/winter clothing for infants up to age 17. The clothing can be dropped off in the Rye Y’s lobby through November 12. It will be delivered to The Sharing Shelf, a Port Chester-based program of Family Services of Westchester. On November 22, Togetherhood volunteers will spend the morning at The Sharing Shelf sorting, organizing, and packing up clothing that will be distributed free of charge to local families in need.
Togetherhood is a national Y Social Responsibility initiative that involves members of all ages in projects that benefit the communities the Y serves, and beyond. The program was launched at the Rye Y in May.
