Julia Brand
Julia Brand of Purchase was recently named a 2021 U.S. Presidential Scholar. She is one of only 161 seniors across the country to have received this honor. The Riverdale Country School graduate, who is also a National Merit Scholarship winner, is headed to Stanford University in the fall.
In a letter to Julia, US Education Secretary Miguel Cardona wrote: “I encourage you to celebrate this well-deserved recognition with your family, friends, and community. Your country is proud of your accomplishments and perseverance. We are excited to see what more you will accomplish in the future.”
