Leading up to Halloween, Daniel Warren had a lot of treats in store for its kindergarteners. An old-fashioned Pumpkin Fest, sponsored by the PTSA, had kids and their parents enjoying the crisp outdoors. Parent volunteers weaved a web of not-so-spine-chilling games and activities, from face painting and tattoo stations to a Wicked Witch Run and a Gut Digger, where kids drew a prize from a witch’s cauldron.
And what’s a fall festival without a colorful pumpkin patch? The kids all picked and decorated a pumpkin to take home, along with a healthy goody bag, in time for the big night.
