Heart and Sole
To culminate Walk to Schools Week, Midland’s REACH (Respect, Empathy, Acceptance, Cooperation and Honesty) initiative teamed up with Soles 4 Souls to collect new and gently worn shoes for distribution to communities in need. Students and parents worked together to partner, bind, and categorize the hundreds of pairs of shoes for shipment to the nonprofit.
Each month REACH focuses on a specific character trait and coordinates a range of in-class, school-wide and community-based activities. Responsibility was October’s theme.
