Posterior cervical foraminotomy is a surgical procedure performed to remove a herniated disc in the neck through a posterior approach. Its primary goal is to alleviate pressure on a spinal nerve, thereby reducing symptoms such as pain, weakness, numbness, and tingling. Unlike anterior cervical discectomy, this procedure offers the advantage of avoiding fusion, making it an appealing option for certain patients.
