The Rye Historical Society raised more than $30,000 at its Annual Fall Food and Whiskey Bash earlier this month.
The money raised will go toward the restoration and revitalization of the Knapp House, the oldest house in Westchester County, where the bash was held on a picture-perfect Oct. 5 evening.
More than 100 guests enjoyed a whiskey tasting station; hand-crafted specialty cocktails made with the historical society’s exclusive, private label Square House Bourbon, and a buffet dinner from Palmers Events and Catering.
An illuminated tent, fall decor, fire pits, and acoustic tunes from local duo Bob & Norm made for a casual, fun-filled evening. The silent auction offered items such as a one-week stay in Amelia Island, four tickets to the sold out ComicCon, a sporting clays experience at Orvis Sandanona, and a station tour and pizza party with the Rye Police.
The historical society thanked event co-chairs Allison Young and Colleen Boyden, as well as the Board of Trustees, auxiliary board, volunteers, and staff for putting together the successful event.
