In his travels, Jay Mahoney is rarely without a camera, and capturing nature as he finds it. From Colorado, where he lives part of the year, he snapped deer and birds that hadn’t flown south for the winter and were handling record snowfalls better than most humans. From Rockport, Texas, where Jay was trying to photograph whooping cranes in their winter habitat last month, he ran into a great variety of waterfowl that seemed to be saying, “Come on down, the weather is fine.”
As always, we look forward to seeing nature through the eyes of someone who seeks out its beauty and design.
