No child ever turns down an invitation to a birthday party, so it was no surprise that more than 100 Milton students turned out to celebrate the Rye Free Reading Room’s 100th birthday, the main event at the 2nd Annual Milton School Family Reading Night the evening of October 9.
Pajama-clad students drank milk, ate cookies, and listened as Milton dad David Walker read two birthday books aloud.
Chris Shoemaker, Rye Free Reading Room Director, thanked students and parents for the party and reminded families to visit the library soon.
Milton moms Sarah Snell and Amy Dolan chaired the event.
