While the weather outside was dreary and gray, the mood and colors inside Milton School were festive and brilliant at the 16th annual Japan Festival last month. A celebration reserved just for the third grade, students listened to a performance on a stringed instrument called a shan-sin; played with Japanese toys and games; dressed in traditional garb; and indulged in some classic cuisine.
Obis off to third-grade teacher Jeannette Hughes and Milton parent volunteers.
