The Westchester Brassmen Drum & Bugle Corps kicked off their 28th season with a half-time performance at the NY Giants/Dallas Cowboys game on New Year’s Day.
The Brassmen, an all-age group, were established in 1984 under the auspices of The American Legion Post #559. Rehearsals are held every Friday night at the American Legion Hall, 210 Halstead Avenue, in Harrison. The Performing Color Guard practices from 6-8 p.m., and the Drumline and Horline from 8-10 p.m.
New members are always welcome. The Corps provides most everything needed to be a member: uniforms, instruments, and instruction. They also offer scholarships for high school and college students.
If you are interested, attend a rehearsal or contact Director Joe Mazzullo at 439-6662. Learn more about the Corps at westchesterbrassmen.com.
