Rye High School’s My Soldier, along with Bronxville’s Hearts to Home and Harvard College Helping Heroes, are conducting a “Welcome Home Heroes” letter drive to express the appreciation of a grateful country for the many sacrifices made by soldiers.
Students, parents, and faculty are being asked to take a few minutes to write a letter to express their appreciation for the service given by these brave men and women. Just a few lines from the heart mean a great deal. Together with Bronxville and Harvard, the club is hoping to mail 10,000 letters.
If you’d like to send one, My Soldier suggests you handwrite the letter and focus on the service member and the sacrifices he/she made. If you would like for a service member to reply to your letter, feel free to write your return address on it.
To participate, drop off your letter in the RHS Assistant Principal’s office, or mail it to My Soldier, Rye High School, Parsons Street, Rye, NY 10580.
