Big Brothers Big Sisters of Family Services of Westchester hosted its eighth annual Summer Games July 14, at Rye Country Day School. Hundreds of “Bigs” and “Littles” in the program attended, along with their families and potential mentors and mentees.
Among the many activities were an obstacle course, arts and crafts projects, and Potato Sack and Three-Legged races. Double Dutch Divas performed to applause, and NY Wild, a wild animal organization, gave the crowd something to roar about.
BBBS of Westchester currently has a large list of children waiting for mentors. If you are interested in becoming a Big Brother or Big Sister, contact Big Brothers Big Sisters of Family Services of Westchester at 937-2320 or fsw.org.
The event was sponsored by PepsiCo, Swiss Re, Goldman Sachs, NY Wild, Stephan Partners, Double Dutch Divas, Belmay Corp., and National Amusements Theaters.
