Something Sticky This Way Comes
What annual elementary event is slippery, moldy, often malodorous, and experimental? The Science Fair, of course!
There was a lot to see and even more to learn at Midland’s School’s Science Fai this month. Young scientists showed how gravity works, performed chemistry tests, delved into robotics, and, of course, created the classic Mentos explosion in a soda bottle. Though someone (probably not the scientists) had the good sense to limit that presentation to a video loop of the experiment, rather than shower the fairgoers with Pepsi.
Here’s a hypothesis: Elementary science fairs are fun and help foster an early interest in science.
