The Second Annual Mike Ice Memorial Basketball Classic will take place at Rye High School gym January 25. The day will begin with a 3rd through 8th grade clinic from 10 a.m. to noon. An Alumni Game is set for 12:30 p.m.
The Second Annual Mike Ice Memorial Basketball Classic will take place at Rye High School gym January 25. The day will begin with a 3rd through 8th grade clinic from 10 a.m. to noon. An Alumni Game is set for 12:30 p.m. At 3 p.m., the RHS Varsity takes the floor to battle archrival Harrison.

Funds raised from the Classic will be used for the Mike Ice Memorial RHS “For the Love of the Game” Scholarship, awarded to a graduating senior member of the varsity basketball team.

The clinic will teach young players valuable skills, with instruction provided by the following varsity head coaches: RHS’ John Aguilar, Chris DiCintio of Somers, and Craig Holcomb of Port Chester. Admission to the clinic is $30 and includes a free T-shirt. Registration is at the door or contact liammccabe-moran@hotmail.com or at 879-6425.

The alumni game will be played by former RHS stars. The suggested donation to the games is $5 for youths and $10 for adults.
